Review of Bad Country (2014) by Leon B — 30 Mar 2014
Review:
This movie did seem like it was made for TV, but it did quite enjoy it. The plot was an average, bad boy gone good, type of storyline which had a couple of twists her and there. All of the performances made the movie more realistic but it still felt low budget. Even though some of the cast were big back in the day, I still hadn't heard anything about this movie when it was real released so it couldn't have had the major blockbuster treatment. Anyway, it's a very average movie that could have done with a bit more work.
Round-Up:
I haven't seen Willem Dafoe and Tom Berenger together in a film since Platoon, which was a great movie, they don't really cross patches that often in this film, but it's good to see them still acting. Matt Dillon put in a good performance, as usual, but it's the overall movie that let's it down. In one of those films that you can pick up from your nearest petrol station, if you get what I mean. I'm sure that it won't hurt any of there career because the film is watchable but not that great.
I recommend this movie to people who are into there drama/thrillers and a bad man trying to do good for his family. 4/10.
