Shah Rukh Khan showed us in My Name is Khan that is is possible for a superstar to completely shed his image and play a very simple character that goes against his entire reputation. That is exactly what Salman does here-by far the best performance of his career, accomplished by shedding all the usual Salmanisms.
Spectacular story and amazing music as well, but this is completely carried by Salman the whole way.
