It’s a movie that understands exactly what the source material is and makes a good attempt to do something creative, artistic, and interesting with it. Some of the concepts aren’t crazy philosophical or outlandish but the movie tackles interesting societal issues or questions in a way that’s actually enjoying.
I am so tired of modern movies *cough Disney* shoving their political ideology down consumers throats in a way that ruins good films. Although based on an IP this movie somehow manages to be a good well made film despite being based on a very marketable toy.
