Review of Barely Lethal (2015) by Adrien B — 29 Apr 2016
I don't understand all the drama surrounding this film. There's concerns about intended audience, a play on a porn title for the film, and other misguided concerns. Who cares? I'm a grown man, my son 11 and daughter 21.
We all loved this movie. It was fun, well written and executed. Steinfeld is adorable and plays the perfect awkward adolescent / trained assassin. Along with a solid supporting cast, I really don't have any complaints.
If you're looking for an award winning film of great impact and import, no. But who cares? Lighten up. It is what it is, and it is a fun, enjoyable family film. 'nuff said.
