Review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) by Emily D — 05 Jul 2017
I know that Batman V Superman gets a lot of hate. But I felt that it was a great movie. This movie was really dark. But it had to be dark to make it believable that Superman and Batman would fight. I loved Batman in this movie.
He was so dark that it was a bit scary. He is scared of the power that Superman has and Superman inadvisably kills people Batman is responsible for. Batman is being manipulated by Lex Luther into attacking Superman.
Superman is trying to be a hero like his father wanted him to but is constantly being judged by everyone. Superman feels Batman is a dangerous vigilante and Batman believes Supermans is a dictator with godlike powers.
It isn't until Superman sacrifices himself that Batman really starts to respect him. And, of course, Wonder Woman was bad-ass. I watched both the theatrical version and the uncut version and I think the uncut version really did the movie more justice.
