Review of Baywatch (2017) by James K — 02 Jun 2017
Based on the 1990's tv show with David Hasselhoff. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson (known from the Fast and Furious franchise), Zac Efron (Neighbors), Alexandria Daddario (Percy Jackson series). The film focus on Matt Brody (Zac Efron) becoming a part of Baywatch with Mitch (Dwayne Johnson).
The two don't see eye to eye at first. But when bodies starting washing up on the beach. They must take action to save the beach. This movie was way hilarious then I expected to be. I expected it to be like CHiPs (which I don't really care for) but it was actually very funny.
Dwayne and Zac work well together on screen. There are a couple of nods to the original series including an appearance from David Hasselhoff. Now critics didn't like this film and did not recommend.
But that's their opinion. My opinion: this movie is funny, If you are a fan of the original series, this films for you.
