Review of Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey (2011) by Joey J — 22 Jul 2017
Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey is directed by Constance Marks, and it's a documentary about Kevin Clash's life about what inspired him to be a puppeteer, and what got him to become Elmo.
When I was very young, I watched Sesame Street, especially when it shows Elmo's World which I was very excited for, and I've watched The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland more times than I can count.
So I was looking forward to see this, and it didn't disappoint. There are plenty of information that I learn about Kevin Clash, typically from his backstories which are interesting, and give information that I didn't know how important he was involved when working with Jim Henson or Sesame Street.
It shows how Kevin acts towards kids to give support to those in need by meeting Elmo, which proves about how Elmo is such a beloved character in the show. Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey is quite a fascinating one that surprised me that he worked for so long, and it'll surprise some people on who even portrayed Elmo.
