Review of Being the Ricardos (2021) by Tball — 22 Dec 2021

As in most biopics, it took a bit to get past the fact that these are actors playing the real people. However, once past that, I really enjoyed this film. I'm not generally a huge Kidman fan but she does a fantastic job here.

By the end, she is Lucy. Bardem has the easier task since Desi's character is the same on and off the set. The reviewer who gave this a 40 and all the user reviews giving it a thumbs down must have watched a different movie.

Although it has some laughs, this is not actually a comedy but a slice of Desilu, off the set. All the minor characters were very good especially J K Simmons as William Frawley. I liked it a lot.
