What has stayed with me ever since watching Billy Elliot is the relationship between father and son. A man is willing to sacrifice everything he has worked for in order to make his son's dream come true.
in most movies this simple act may have no effect on the audience. But in Billy Elliot, you see Billy's passion for dance and when his father finally realizes that he has a gift it just tugs at your heart.
