The book :10+/10.The movie:3/10. Why do they always do it ? Why do they have to ruin the original ? The story is twisted with big parts missing, the monsters are changed (they can talk ? wtf??), the whole ending is twisted in an silly action scene and even the ominous book ending turned into an crappy happy ending, with children playing in a garden.
If you cannot do it properly, better leave it for later on.
