Review of Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) by Chrissy C — 20 Nov 2018
The movie was boring and not intelligent at all. Its a bit like in modern hyped modern Art if I look at a modern Art Painting like Andre Butzer compared to a William Turner I always think am I that stupid or are those critics that Stupid.
There have been wonderful mind bending philiosophical movies which werent boring at all. Birdman didnt manage that Point at all, you cant just put philosophical stuff together and declare it as work of a Genius.
And the best picture (camera) wasnt worth an oscar at all. There are possibilities way beyond makin a movie in one shot. Its not cutting edge its like makin use of old technics and declare it as a cinematographic masterpiece to use that technique again.
Its like the band Kraftwerk had made their music with acoustic instruments, its still artsy and cool music but its not cutting edge its not Game Changing like James Cameron did with cutting edge technology in Titanic.
The music was pretty annoying, the best movies always have fantastic fittin music in the background in this movie there only was the same annoying drum solo put on every scene. All in all nothing was done right in that movie.
