Decent action pieces but ultimately let down by poor writing. The plot is scooby-doo levels of stupid. The villain never seems like a challenge. With the exception of the younger sister the supporting characters are unlikable. And the jokes repeatedly fall flat - and I do mean repeatedly there is one joke (about Black Widows posing) that is repeated *three* *times* throughout the movie.

Many wasted opportunities. Too many situations are resolved with big fight scenes rather than using Black Widows talents as a master spy. The Red Guardian has been turned into a buffoon and the butt of all their jokes. The ending resolved none of the moral questions in the film especially the dubious ethics of one of the lead characters is simply forgotten.

Ultimately a disappointing film given what might have been.
