Review of Blade Runner (1982) by James C — 30 Jun 2013
One of my favourite films of all time, and one of the few I've loved since being a teenager which has remained in my mind as a beacon of sci-fi brilliance. It's a great noir story staged in the kind of distopian Los Angeles that requires the haunting soundtrack of Vangelis and epic imagery of Douglas Trumbull. I recently watched the blu-ray copy of the final edit and, really, it's beautiful.
Bonus points because it was the first time I recognised Edward James Olmos in it, what's going on there!?
