Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Andremax — 04 Feb 2019
Bohemian Rhapsody has some fails, but nothing that gets close for its biggest defect: it's absolutely innocuous. Based in ascension-decadence-ascension (although Freddie Mercury's death), movie's formula couldn't be more basic.
Some data about band's origins and dates are wrong, formulaic image of bigger-than-world ego about Freddie Mercury are some example of mistakes. In another side, soundtrack is excellent (obviously Queen's songs) and movie can holds viewer and somehow teases its curiosity.
Between mistakes and goals, almost everything are submerse in a kind of plot indefatigably repeated by cinema's industry.
