While I was excited to watch this based on the reviews, actors, content... I was pretty underwhelmed and considering turning it off a couple times, namely because the pacing was very slow, I didn't really connect with the characters, and the message about blacks in america and the ghetto/hood was rather over-handed for my tastes.
