It reminded me a lot of Fools Rush in with Salma Hayek and Mathew Perry, both are about two different people of different cultures who fall in love despite the approval of said families.
Even tho it's sappy in parts and the music was a bit meh I still loved it ,plus I'm a sucker for a good romance and the entire time I only wanted them to kiss but it never happens! still wonderful tho.
