Review of Bride of Chucky (1998) by Robert M — 14 Dec 2017

Good but not great, Bride of Chucky has some of the best kills and one of the worst subplots in the franchise - the one with the young couple who are apparently madly in love but also turn on each other every time another dead body shows up.

Also, "anatomically correct doll sex". That's literally all I'm going to say about that. Despite all that, Jennifer Tilly is great as Tiffany and Brad Dourif is once again perfect as Chucky.

The meta humor is good but not that good. The script is well-written, and Ronny Yu's direction is pretty good, making this a flawed but mostly good movie.
