Review of Brief Interviews with Hideous Men (2009) by Alex M — 03 Jan 2011
I watched this movie mainly because I wanted to see how Krasinksi would adapt such an episodic disjoint book into a movie. I actually think he did an excellent job at the adaptation. There is a section where he very effectively builds to a climax That being said, I really don't think that the book works well at all as a movie. I'm a fan of the book, but it is primarily cerebral, and not very visually oriented.
It looks like with a bit more experience, Krasinksi could become a fairly decent director.
I wouldn't recommend it, unless you are a fan of the book.
