Review of Bright (2017) by Yash B — 24 Jan 2019
I think "Bright" has problems, but if I'm being honest, I thought it was an okay watch. The movie showcases a unique fantasy world that I would have liked to learn more about. The movie is more focused on action scenes and the two lead characters which I found to be somewhat entertaining.
 I thought Will Smith and Joel Edgerton did a solid job with the dialogue they had to work with. The movie feels more like mindless entertainment and doesn't fully pursue the social commentary is occasionally brings up.
It's a movie that I found entertaining enough but ultimately falls short of its potential.
