Review of Bug (1975) by The3Academysins — 10 Jan 2020
Bug is a movie that was criminally mis-advertised when it was first released almost 15 years ago. This is not a horror movie. This is an incredibly well written, directed, and acted psychological thriller about schizophrenia and what is real and what isn't.
Even by the end of the movie, I couldn't tell you what actually happened and what didn't. William Friedkin's direction is claustrophobic and tense. Tracy Letts' script is powerful and riveting. The performances of Ashley Judd and Michael Shannon are iconic.
