Review of Bumblebee (2018) by Kevin R — 19 Dec 2018

I had high hopes for this movie based on the high Tomatometer rating, but I was very disappointed. This movie was dominated by improbable situations and every movie cliche in the history of cinema. The main characters are being chased by the military and mom and dad in their station wagon pull up next to them and have a conversation during the chase.

Really? The kids have to get into a military base to rescue Bumblebee and all it takes is a bolt cutter and they're in. No guards, no security, no nothing to stop them. I'm willing to suspend reality for a movie, but this one requires more suspension than I could muster.
