Review of Bus 174 (2002) by Juan C — 10 Jan 2011
Many of the facts in the documentary are left vague which does increase the tension and mystery of the situation. The conclusion itself is quite unexpected leaving it feeling somewhat like a snuff film. It does merge the lower class situation with the main story thread quite well.
There are some amateur filmmaking segments including a visit to a jail in the inverse colour spectrum. The pacing is poor as the film does drag. Vagaries also remain around the teacher lying, the woman on floor, the motherâ(TM)s death, and where the final orders came from.
