"Call me by your name" is very untypical in that it doesn't resort to cheap or forced scenarios to generate drama. The acting is superb, and it's beautifully shot.
It's a very quiet, sensual film about love and lust, and it avoids clichés, there is no real enemy here, there are only the characters own reservations, which makes it feel very realistic and natural, and also heartbreaking.
