I dont know how this film did it, but it instantly draws you in in the most subtle ways. Im not sure if its the promotion, but having an idea of what kind of love story it was and already wanting to watch it play it may be key.

I did sit down to watch this with that kind of intrigue. Call Me By Your Name does do a wonderful job portraying a unique love story. There is essentially no subplot in this movie. Characters backgrounds and stories really have nothing to do with the main plot and therefor at first makes it seem confusing to figure out whats going on.

That doesnt matter tho as the two main leads do a superb job drawing you in and wanting to see how their relationship will unfold. Its a tale of first love and while sometimes that can be heartbreaking, remembering that will leave you with a sense of hope.

This movie told its unique story from start all the way to the exact finish point of the credits in a very unique way I have yet to see. Leaving me running through all the emotions. This Oscar nominated movie deserves all its accolades and possibly should have even got the win for outstanding picture.

It deserves and did win Best Adapted Screenplay written by 89 year old James Ivory. With a good rewatchablilty factor Call Me By Your Name will definitely get a good conversation going between you and your movie buff friends as we try to discover the meaning of certain scenes.
