Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Andrew M — 08 Nov 2017
Gentle, emotive, alluring and yet paced to reflect the lazy, rambling days of Summer. Superb performances by every actor give this film more power and drama than most. It missed out on a final star only because it's length could have easily been trimmed if a few extraneous scenes and establishing shots had been left on the cutting room floor.
This film has earned every acolode it's received to date. It touched me profoundly. It left me questioning my own life filled with inevitable compromise as the unboundless optimism of youth has faded.
Bravo everyone on creating a film that evokes such a deep and reflective reaction.
