Review of Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018) by Omar L — 29 Dec 2018
Melissa McCarthy delivers another solid performance about a type of person that is particularly insufferable: the entitled artist. As Lee Israel, McCarthy is hilarious and pathetic as a woman whose abrasive and self-loathing personality alienates all those around her, especially those who could help her the most.
This movie shows that you may not have to like people, but if you don't, it's most likely that you're one of people that's not likable.
