Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by I9Gz — 28 Mar 2021
Starts off extremely strong in the first half, building up the MCU's most interesting character yet, pairing him with good side characters, and preparing for a great and thematically rich conclusions, but is stumped in the second half and loses a lot of its steam.
The last hour is very much generic superhero action, pulled together by the incredible ending.
