Review of Carlito's Way: Rise to Power (2005) by Zachariah R — 01 Aug 2008
I was extremely surprised when I saw this. It's a very good prequel to Carlito's Way. Though a bit short, the plot was solid; Jay Hernandez, Michael Kelly, and Mario Van Peebles were very good.
Everyone goes on about how they hated P. Diddy in this film (though it is cheesey when seeing music artists play roles like this). One other downside to this is that it didn't do a good job to paint the setting of the late 1940s.
Other than that, I really liked this!
