A feel-good movie that doesn't offer any different routes to get somewhere that matters.
Everything is built on a predictable foundation that barely keeps the plot moving forward. Woody Harrelson may be a drunken conspiracy theorist in real life - shame on him - but he has the charisma to sell a role that demands nothing from him and is nothing special, but would obviously be the main reason for audiences to see this film. Champions is a likable comedy with a good cast that does a decent job but provides very little substance outside of its inclusiveness.
