Review of Chaplin (1992) by Adam B — 19 Mar 2009
After many years of patint waiting here we finnly have a biopic of the chaming yet contraversial life of charlie chaplin.robert downey jr gives quite posibly the best performance of his carrer even after all thease years.
the other cast are equally impressive such as dan akroyd anthony hopkins kevinn kline james woods david ducovney john rhys john thaw n kevin dunn.this film also showcases the many loves of chaplin portrayed by penolpe ann miller moira kelly milla johovich n marisma tomi n a specail mention 2 geraldine chaplin it takes guts playing your own mother :) the visules n the locotions are 1 of the key elements that make this film work so well.
Overall the balence of hummor n sentimentality is carefullfully distributed equaly which makes this not only a triumph but a well deserved BAFTA win 4 downey jr :).
