Review of Clear History (2014) by Tyler R — 19 Sep 2013
Made from a script that was mostly improvised, Clear History is surprisingly hilarious, charming, but most importantly, coherent. The film follows the head of marketing at an electric car startup who leaves over a dispute with the owner, only to find out that the company becomes a hit and he's left broke.
There are so, so many people in this thing, it's almost hard to keep track of them all. Yet, they all get their moment to shine, which is as surprising as the film's smoothness. Despite a hefty amount of improv, Clear History is, well, clear.
It follows a smooth plot along till the very end, never really hitting any speed bumps. If you're a fan of Larry David, you'll really enjoy this. But if you're not and you're looking for a refreshing comedy, you should definitely check this out.
