Review of Code Unknown (2000) by Matt M — 19 Jan 2013
The story of five different characters whose lives cross paths during one minor incident. Haneké has a filmic language of his own, in bringing to life this enigmatic multi-layered plot film, never driven by a specific narrative structure, rather making us feel as if we were peeking at the lives of each of the characters, sometimes even incading the privacy of their moments of quiet and solitude.
A compelling drama that beats most other better known international productions of the same kind.
