Review of Cold November (2018) by Rhonda W — 30 May 2018
This is a unique coming of age story in more than one way. First, it is almost devoid of male presence. It celebrates a culture not many see or even know exsist in the lower 48, subsistance hunting. It portrays guns in a completely different light.
Can you name a full length feature film where guns were not used to kill people? Lastly,, the matriarch hunting camp, which is rare even in hunting culture. The story of Florence is not singular but is rare.
Loved the movie! I had the opportunity to see it with an audience from the area the movie depicts. They LOVED it.
