Review of Comet (2014) by Mike S — 17 Apr 2015
You know those guys you meet at uni who are really intense and can't talk casually about anything. You know the type.... You'd be sitting at a table having a relaxing talk with people, and then they sit down and the conversation instantly changes to something 'deep' or 'political'.
Those guys who can only talk using hypothesis' and metaphors. Well, this movie is like spending 90 minutes trapped on a bus next to one of those guys. And worst of all, the film's narrative is jumbled up into a confusing mess, attempting to give weight to the shallow dialogue by using a multiple dimension concept that shoots for high art, but falls flat as you realise you can't stand either Justin Long or Emmy Rossum anymore.
