Review of Conan O'Brien Can't Stop (2011) by Danny S — 18 Aug 2011
It was an excellent expression cinematically of the raw intensity Conan seems to have that does not come out through his filtered & restrained basic cable renderings. The movie was not a barrel of laughs, but there were plenty of them associated with the dark unfortune & irony Conan seemed to be faced with.
He has a talent for making the worst almost alright by making people laugh & by showing them different perspectives. No one has seen Conan O'Brien this way except those in his personal life, this docu-dramady is captivating despite its somewhat rocky editing which seems to depict how rocked his nerves were.
I recommend this movie to anyone who doesn't mind hearing the 'f' word a lot.
