Review of Crater (2023) by Dubeau — 18 Jul 2023
Crater is an average movie. The story feels long. I think the structure in general doesn't give any rhythm to the movie, and the action scenes feels very forced. The logic of the events is accommodating, to say the least.
The dialogues were very uneven and overexposed a lot of things. Visually the movie is really good. The acting wasn't always good with the kids. The most interesting part comes around the end. But the author didn't exploited the 75 years of difference from the travel to another planet.
Well, they did it with some audio extracts which for a movie, is kind of a sin. I give it 52%. There is still some visuals quality to the movie but the story didn't transmit much emotions, because structure and logic were all over the place.
