Review of Cube 2: Hypercube (2002) by Mark N — 12 Apr 2012
Digital effects replace the practical gore of the original and it feels incredibly flat for it. Much of the originals dynamic returns with a mixed group of players arriving for another round of deadly hopscotch.
Wisely the filmmakers avoid exploring the reason for their predicament and much outside the cube. Unfortunately they don't find much to do or say that expands or improves on the simple methods of the original.
