Review of Curse of the Golden Flower (2006) by Marcus W — 22 Jul 2009
Tedious, plot-less drivel trying to cash in on the success of Hero and House Of Flying Daggers. It's an "eastern", but made specifically for western audiences - hence it's failures. It's full of melodrama, the palace looks like it's made of sweet-wrappers and play-doh, everyone overacts and the only redeeming factor was the ninja-scythe-wielder people, they were pretty cool.
