Review of Curse of the Puppet Master (1998) by Ryan T — 21 Oct 2004
[font=Impact][size=3]Well , this is the sixth movie in the famous Puppet Master series and I have to say, it's not all that bad. Sure, this film series is a little over it's limit, but this film proves to be an interesting side story of those mean-ass puppets.
The acting in this film is not convincing at all, but what more could you ask for with such a measly budget. One thing that makes me mad is the fact that they used other shots from other puppet master movies.
An example is when Blade puppet gets a close-up. The puppet action sequences are also very limited compared to earlier efforts. It is still effective enough if you are a fan of the series ( and I am ).
Overall, what really makes this movie entertaining is the story. Aside from the worst puppet ever created ( at the film's end ), the story is very solid and a note worthy edition to this legendary series.
