Review of Dahmer (2002) by Tami S — 15 Jul 2012
I didn't really have many expectations when I started watching this movie, mostly because of the horrible reviews I had been seeing. I'm glad I didn't because if you go into this movie with an open mind, you realize just how terrifying Jeffrey Dahmer was without all the blood and gore.
Jeremy Renner was the main reason I watched this, as I absolutely love him. Let me tell you, he was genius. Absolutely fantastic. Some of the acting was a bit sketchy, but never from Renner's character.
The only reason I gave this movie four stars was because then ending was a little bit of a let down, and there were a couple of draggy places in the middle. For the most part though, the directing of this movie was very artful, in a way reminding me slightly of David Fincher.
Especially the scene at the bar. I thoroughly enjoyed this (as much as you can with a movie about a serial killer).
