Review of Dahmer (2002) by Daniel G — 26 Apr 2012
Dahmer wanting to be appreciated is a humanistic value, him wanting to kill his victims to keep them forever with him in memory is just disgusting. This film shows he goes from emontionally human in compassion, to numb and devious and disturbed.
Jeremy Renner does a horrifying re-enactment of Jeffrey Dahmer, This film doesn't glorify Dahmer making him a hero, it shows how he started out just wanting love, and in the end going too far to get that love inside him.
I can't wait to get this on dvd. I watched the whole movie on youtube. The director really knows how to make you cry tears for the victims, and realize that sometimes putting trust in the wrong person has its consequences.
Gripping, sad, powerful, scary, shocking movie. I now understand why Dahmer was the way he was, if he would of just not killed his victims he'd of been a more humanistic person, and less of a monster and killer.
The only way someone would be glorifying Dahmer is if they wanted to kill innocent people the way he did. Watching a movie that explains how a man become a monster is not glorifying him. People need to think before they're so quick to judge.
