After watching this movie, I cannot figure out why there are so many negative reviews. I agree that the movie does not follow the real case in all details, but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It is a who-done-it type that left my husband and I intrigued throughout the entire film.
There were twists that I never saw coming and I felt Carrey's character's desperation and hurt. I think the biggest problem with those who watch this movie are just too used to seeing Carrey in wildly humorous roles and they feel somewhat uncomfortable with him in a serious role.
Give it a chance!
