Skillfully directed, informative, accurate, and well deserved acclamation for the costume design along with Gary Oldman's performance; THE DARKEST HOUR turns somewhat boring subject matter into a fascinating history lesson.
This is typically not the type of film I would be interested in, but it's correlation with DUNKIRK and unanticipated emotive ending was well worth the revisit to dreadful social studies.
