Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has a lot of heart and atmosphere and even better special effects than the convincing motion capture work in the previous movie. On top of that it has a fantastic villain in Toby Kebbell's Koba, and the unforgettable sight of a bonobo on horseback firing machine guns.
