While Dawn of the planet of the apes isn't as good as the previous movie, there is still a whole lot to enjoy in this movie. This movie has a great plot, special effects, and good characters. These three things really hold the movie together.
The plot is great and really builds up to connect this movie with War for the planet of the apes. The special effects are amazing. The apes look and feel real. This is really where the characters play in.
The characters tie in with the special effects. The apes are great characters. Not only do the special effects make them look real, but the ape's character makes it feel real. Talking apes wielding guns may seem silly but this movie can make it feel a little bit serious and feel more realistic.
Overall this is a great apes movie, with a great plot, special effects, and great characters, this movie represents what a movie should be. A+.
