Review of DC League of Super-Pets (2022) by Compi24 — 16 Aug 2022
A mostly inoffensive and familiar romp through some of the lighter and more family-friendly elements within the DC mythos, "DC League Of Super-Pets" regularly incorporates themes and story elements from other, better films you've probably already seen, but it's not necessarily a waste of time altogether.
Some worthwhile bits and sight gags — paired with some clever riffing on DC lore — is what'll ultimately make this ride worth the price of admission for you (and, presumably, the kids). I still feel as though Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart probably should have switched roles.
Ace's stoic presence is not something I would normally associate with the stylings of Kevin Hart. You can say the same thing about Krypto's more happy-go-lucky demeanor in relation to that of the archetypical Dwayne Johnson role as well.
Digression aside, this was still not an entire wash of an experience for me. Just a bit of a "mid" one.
