Review of Dead Man (1995) by David P — 04 Jun 2011
With the all-star cast, you'd think this would be a worthwile movie-it's not. It's slow, boring, uninteresting, and overall meaningless. While the character transformation of Depp could be intriguing in this film, it is squashed by the worthlessness of the rest of it.
The black and white aspect was unnecessary and was done quite badly. I suppose if it's meant to look like an amateur film that a film student created in his first year of film school is the point, then it succeeded wildly.
Characters melded with the background, and it was overall very flat. There's a reason why most people have never heard of this movie: its not worth mentioning.
