Review of Deadpool 2 (2018) by Chris C — 27 May 2018
Deadpool 2 enjoys being able to work on a much bigger budget than the first movie allowing them more CGI fights and more explosions and blood carnage of bad guys. Overall it's an acceptable sequel in spite of still rushing to fill up the screen with hardly-developed characters such as Yukio and Juggernaut who only exist to be either adorable or menacing and an excuse to give Colossus some glory. Domino and Cable might have gotten an appropriate amount of screen time but they both really have no personality whatsoever, both of them are very robotic and emotionless. It seems Deadpool 2 wanted to make any new superheroes who didn't show up in the first movie to be simple and lacking of a personality just so that they don't overshadow Deadpool.
Deadpool 2 is just about the same "clown pretending to be a superhero" movie as the first one back in 2016 all over again only with more CGI and a bigger budget.
Russell Collins seemed very reflective of the real-life person that everybody hates the most: the one and only Kim Jong-un! The Dictator of North Korea. Russell is fat, he's a pyromaniac obsessed with explosions and fire to use them for revenge and killing and he's always trying to make himself the victim.
