Review of Death Note (2017) by Jason T — 31 Aug 2017
Although the story deviates from the source material in less than ideal ways, I believe that every change and alteration had purpose. For example, this new protagonist, Light Turner, is not the Yagami Raito that we are familiar with, but he was casted well, played consistently, and is ultimately much more relatable.
My biggest criticism is that the pacing of the story is rushed and breaks immersion.
