Review of December Bride (1990) by Lee M — 14 Mar 2009
I can't exactly explain why I liked this movie so much. Part of it was trying to pick up the Irish-accented dialogue. It was cinema verite circa 1900 Ireland. The scenery was a character itself. I think a lot of the movie happened "off screen" and was very true to its novel adaptation I think for that reason.
Definitely worth an hour-and-a-half.
